According to Dana White in a Metro PCS chat with fans, Stephan Bonnar has called it a career following his first round TKO loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 153.

Bonnar was on a three fight win streak before his loss to Silva, which included victories against Kyle Kingsbury, Igor Pokrajac, and Krzysztof Soszynski.

Stephan Bonnar had a major role in the current success of the UFC, due to his epic three round battle against Forrest Griffin to crown the first ever Ultimate Fighter winner.

Jose Aldo looks to defend his UFC title belt for the fourth time since the UFC/WEC merger. Aldo made his UFC debut in April of last year, when he defeated Mark Hominick by unanimous decision. He has since earned a unanimous decision victory against Kenny Florian and a knockout win against Chad Mendes to retain the title.

Former UFC lightweight champion, Frank Edgar gets a shot at the title in his first UFC fight at 145 pounds. He has lost back-to-back controversial decisions to Ben Henderson, which has persuaded him to drop to featherweight. Edgar won the UFC 155 pound title in April of 2010 against BJ Penn, then defended it three times in a rematch with BJ Penn and twice against Gray Maynard.

Mike Easton currently holds an eight-fight win streak, including three inside the UFC. Easton won his UFC debut via second round TKO over Byron Bloodworth at UFC Live on Versus 6. He followed up that win with a majority decision victory over Jared Papazian. Most recently, Easton earned a one-sided unanimous decision victory over longtime MMA veteran, Ivan Menjivar at UFC 148.

Bryan Caraway earned his second win in the UFC, with a third round submission win over Mitch Gagnon at UFC 149. The win was his third consecutive victory, which also includes a second round submission over Dustin Neace in his UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter 14’s season finale.

The UFC announced today that heavyweights, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum will coach the second season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil. The two are also expected to meet inside the cage, but no fight date has been announced of yet.

The show is planning to begin taping in early 2013 with a debut on television in March.

Nogueira and Werdum fought in July of 2006 at Pride FC: Critical Countdown Absolute, where Nogueira earned the unanimous decision victory.

Besam Yousef made his UFC in his home country of Sweden, but fell short, losing by second round rear naked choke to Simeon Thoresen at UFC on Fuel TV 2. The loss snapped a six-fight win streak, five of which, came by way of stoppages (3 submission, 2 TKO).

Matt Riddle’s victory over Chris Clements at UFC 149 was overturned last month after Riddle tested positive for marijuana in the post-fight drug screen. The win would have been his second in a row, following a split decision victory over Henry Martinez in February of this year.

Former welterweight champion, Lyman Good is one fight away from earning a chance to recover his belt from Ben Askren. Good started with a unanimous decision win over Jim Wallhead to reach the semifinals of Bellator’s season seven welterweight tournament. There he met Michail Tsarev, where he won via second round TKO to earn a spot in the final.

Andrey Koreskov has been dominating his competition since signing with Bellator in March of this year. He’s gone 4-0, including his last two victories which has put him in the finale. He earned a unanimous decision over Jordan Smith in the opening round. Most recently, Koreshkov defeated former DREAM champion Marius Zaromskis via first round knockout.
