Rich Clementi’s career resurgence in Bellator continued with a split decision victory over Alexander Sarnavskiy in the quarterfinals of the lightweight tournament. The win was his fourth in a row, which also includes victories over Derek Campos and Robert Washington.

Marcin Held extended his winning streak to four, with a unanimous decision over Murad Machaev at Bellator 77.  Held also holds victories over Kaleo Kwan, Philipe Nover, and Derrick Kennington during his current win streak.

Ricardo Tirloni earned a spot in the semifinals with a second round brabo choke over Rene Nazare in the opening round of this year’s lightweight tournament. The win was his first since being knocked out by Rick Hawn in last season’s quarterfinal match-up.

WEC veteran, Dave Jansen extended his win streak to four, with a third round submission over Magomed Saadulaev at Bellator 77. Jansen earned a spot in this year’s tournament with consecutive wins against Scott McAffe, Ashkan Morvari, and Jacob Kirwan.
