Estevan Payan makes his second appearance inside the Strikeforce cage, following a successful debut against Alonzo Martinez, in which he earned a clear cut unanimous decision. The win was sixth in a row, three of which came by knockout.

Michael Bravo earns a spot in the big show on the heels of three-fight win streak while competing in the regional California MMA scene. Most recently, Bravo defeated Nolan Sules by first round TKO at a Rebel Fighter event last May.

Jorge Gurgel returns for the first time in 17-months, since his unanimous decision loss to Joe Duarte at Strikeforce Challengers 18. The loss was his third in his last four fights, also falling short against Billy Evangelista and KJ Noons. His only win since November of 2009 was a first round guillotine choke victory over Billy Vaughn in March of 2011.

Adriano Martins has won ten out of his last eleven fights, including a current four-fight win streak in the Brazilian MMA regional circuit. Notable wins include a unanimous decision victory over UFC-veteran Ronys Torres and a first round TKO win over Neilson Gomes.

Tim Kennedy looks to rebound from his second failed attempt at winning Strikeforce gold, when he lost a unanimous decision to Luke Rockhold back in July. The loss snapped a two-fight winning streak, which consisted of victories over Melvin Manhoef and Robbie Lawler.

Trevor Smith drops to middleweight for the first time in Strikeforce after going 2-1 in the light heavyweight division. He started off his Strikeforce career with two straight submission victories over Keith Berry and TJ Cook, but then was stopped in the first round by Gian Villante by TKO. Most recently, Smith took a fight outside of Strikeforce, defeating Alexandre Moreno by first round guillotine choke.

Lorenz Larkin was successful in his middleweight debut, defeating veteran Robbie Lawler in a surprisingly one-sided decision at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs Kennedy. The win continued his undefeated streak in his young MMA career, which also includes decision victories against Gian Villante and Nick Rossborough.

Former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza has won back-to-back contests, since losing his title to Luke Rockhold in September of last year. Souza defeated Bristol Marunde in the third round with a arm-triangle choke, then followed that victory with a 41-second knockout win over Derek Brunson at Strikeforce: Rousey vs Kaufman.

Roger Gracie was successful in his middleweight debut, following a dominant unanimous decision victory over UFC-veteran Keith Jardine at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs Kennedy. Gracie dropped weight classes after suffering his first professional loss, a devastating first round knockout loss to Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in September of last year.

Anthony Smith has revived his mixed martial arts career since December of 2010, winning nine out his last ten fights, including a 2-1 record for Strikeforce. Smith is currently on a three-fight win streak, most recently defeating rising prospect Lumumba Sayers with a first round triangle choke.

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Josh Barnett had a eight-fight win streak snapped in the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix finale, losing a unanimous decision to Daniel Cormier in May of this year. To reach the finals, Barnett earned back-to-back submission victories over Brett Rogers and Sergei Kharitonov.

Nandor Guelmino makes his United States debut on the heels of a seven-fight win streak amassed on the European regional MMA circuit. Most recently, Guelmino got his biggest win of his career, earning a unanimous decision over Emil Zahariev at a World Free Fight Challenge event in Slovenia.
