UFC middleweight Tom DeBlass has decided to retire from mixed martial arts following his unanimous decision loss to Riki Fukuda at UFC on Fuel TV 6. The loss was his second consecutive defeat since signing with the UFC in April earlier this year.

DeBlass was once considered to be a top prospect in the light heavyweight division, beginning his career a perfect 7-0, fighting for the popular New Jersey based promotion, Ring of Combat. He suffered his first professional loss in his UFC debut, losing a majority decision to Cyrille Diabate, a fight he took on just 12 days notice.
