Riki Fukuda improved his record to 2-2 in the UFC since signing with the promotion in February of last year, with a unanimous decision victory over Tom DeBlass at UFC on Fuel TV 6. Previously, he lost a unanimous decision to Constantinos Philippou in July. Many believe Fukuda should be 3-1, but a highly controversial decision loss to Nick Ring in his UFC debut gave him his first defeat since 2008.

One of the bigger surprises from the eleventh season of the Ultimate Fighter, Brad Tavares is 4-1 in the UFC since his time on the show. He’s currently on a two-fight win streak, which includes decision victories over Dongi Yang and Tom Watson. Tavares’ only loss professionally came against Aaron Simpson at UFC 132 by decision.

Cristiano Marcello was the beneficiary of a controversial split decision over Reza Madadi at UFC 153. The win was his first in the UFC, following a second round knockout loss to Sam Sicilia at The Ultimate Fighter 15 finale.

Kazuki Tokudome earned a shot in the big leagues, winning six of his last seven fights, including a current two-fight win streak. His most recent victory was a unanimous decision win over Kengo Ura at a Pancrase event in August.
