UFC veteran, Seth Petruzelli returns to action for the first time since August of 2011 when he made his Bellator debut, earning a first round TKO victory over former UFC heavyweight champion, Ricco Rodriguez. Petruzelli’s most notable victory came in October of 2008 when he needed just 14-seconds to stop internet sensation Kevin ‘Kimbo Slice’ Ferguson at a EliteXC event.

Jacob Noe earned his spot in this year’s light heavyweight tournament with a first round TKO victory over Brian Albin at Bellator 73. The win was his sixth in a row, which started in October of 2010.

Emanuel Newton was eliminated in the semifinals of last year’s Summer Series 205-pound tournament, after a controversial split decision defeat to Attila Vegh at Bellator 72. In the opening round, Newton stopped Roy Boughton in the second round with a rear naked choke.

Bulgarian native, Atanas Djambazov was awarded a spot in this year’s tournament on the heels of a ten-fight win streak all for Bulgaria’s top promotion, MAXFIGHT. Djambazov’s only notable fight was a unanimous decision defeat to WEC veteran, Chuck Grigsby at an M-1 Global event in March of 2009.
