Cain Velasquez regained his title in impressive fashion with a dominant unanimous decision over Junior dos Santos at UFC 155. The win was his second in a row since his 64-second knockout loss to Dos Santos, also defeating Antonio Silva via first round TKO in May of last year.

Antonio Silva stunned the MMA world with a vicious third round knockout win over the heavily favored Alistair Overeem at UFC 156. That was his second knockout victory in a row, previously defeating Travis Browne with a first round TKO stoppage.

Junior dos Santos’ loss to Cain Velasquez snapped a ten-fight winning streak, dating back to May of 2008. During the win streak, he was a perfect 9-0 in the UFC, including notable wins against Fabricio Werdum, Cain Velasquez, and Frank Mir.

An eleven-fight win streak, including wins over Fabricio Werdum and Brock Lesnar in his UFC debut put Alistair Overeem in title contention with a win at UFC 156. Unfortunately for him, he came in with an arrogant attitude and it cost him against Antonio Silva, suffering a third round knockout loss.
