Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal looks for redemption in this year’s Summer Series tournament, following a semifinal exit after suffering a first round knockout loss to Emanuel Newton at Bellator 90. King Mo earned a TKO victory of his own in the quarterfinals over Przemyslaw Mysiala in his promotional debut.

Seth Petruzelli was eliminated in the quarterfinals of last season’s 205-pound tournament by Jacob Noe, getting stopped via TKO in the opening round. Long-time MMA veteran, Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral made an early exit in last year’s tournament, suffering a first round TKO loss to Mikhail Zayats in the quarterfinals. Babalu has traded wins and losses since January of 2009, earning victories over Robbie Lawler and Tatsuya Mizuno.

Jacob Noe was submitted by Mikhail Zayats in the semifinals of last season’s light heavyweight tournament. The loss snapped a nine-fight winning streak, which included his quarterfinal tournament victory over Seth Petruzelli at Bellator 85.
