Michael McDonald returns to action for the first time since falling short on his bid to become UFC’s interim bantamweight champion, submitted by Renan Barao in the fourth round at UFC on Fuel TV 7. The loss snapped an eight-fight win streak, including knockout victories over Cole Escovedo, Alex Soto, and Miguel Torres.

Brad Pickett returned to winning form at UFC on Fuel TV 9, earning a hard-fought split decision over Mike Easton. He previously lost a decision to Eddie Wineland, who dominated Pickett from start to finish.

Ovince St Preux won his UFC debut, but not likely the way he had hoped, earning a technical decision after an accidental eye poke stopped the fight early in the third round. St Preux is a Strikeforce transfer, where during his time he amassed an impressive 5-1 record, with notable wins over Antwain Britt, Benji Radach, and TJ Cook.

Cody Donovan earned “Fight of the Night” honors in his UFC debut for his back-and-forth melee with Nick Penner at UFC on FX 6, eventually getting the knockout victory in the first round. He know holds a four-fight winning streak, dating back to January of 2011.
