A true fan favorite, Brian Rogers enters a Bellator tournament for the fourth time. despite never making it past the semifinal round. Most recently, Rogers was eliminated in season eight’s quarterfinals, losing a unanimous decision to Dan Cramer.

Mikkel Parlo suffered the first loss of his career in the opening round of last season’s tournament, dropping a unanimous decision to Sultan Aliev at Bellator 89. He was previously 9-0, including a first round knockout victory over Jared Combs in his Bellator debut.

Giva Santana competed in season six’s middleweight tournament, but lost a unanimous decision to Bruno Santos in the quarterfinals. He rebounded from the loss in November of last year, submitting Brendan Seguin in the second round with a kneebar.

Jason Butcher earns a spot in this year’s middleweight tournament, on the heels of a six-fight win streak to begin his young career. Included in the streak are three quick first round submission victories under the Bellator banner over Duane Bastress, Shaun Asher, and Jack Hermansson.
