October 19th, 2013

Despite a less than inspiring 2-5 UFC record, Matt Grice earned another fight with the promotion thanks to his “Fight of the Night”, three round war with Dennis Bermudez. When it was all said and done, it was Bermudez who had his hand raised, earning the close split decision. Grice was originally released from the UFC in July of 2009, but returned 2011 following a four-fight win streak in the regional circuit. He earned a unanimous decision victory over Leonard Garcia at UFC on FX 3, his first UFC win since 2007.

Jeremy Larsen gets a rare third opportunity to get a UFC victory, following a 0-2 start with the promotion following his time on the fifteenth season of the Ultimate Fighter. He made his UFC debut in the show’s finale, but lost to Joe Proctor by first round TKO. Last time out, Larsen lost to Lucas Martins by third round knockout at UFC on FX 8.
