Dan Henderson is in desperate need of a win to stay relevant in the UFC’s light heavyweight division, following a current two-fight losing streak. He was supposed to get a shot at Jon Jones and the world title in September of last year, but an injury forced him out of the bout. Due to timing, he was forced to take another bout instead of a title shot, and lost a split decision to Lyoto Machida at UFC 157. Most recently, Henderson dropped another closely-contested split decision to Rashad Evans at UFC 161 in June.

Vitor Belfort returns to the light heavyweight division for a single fight, since he doesn’t want to fight anyone at middleweight unless it’s for the title. He’s won four out his last five fights, including wins over Anthony Johnson, Michael Bisping, and Luke Rockhold. Belfort fought for the light heavyweight title in September of last year, but lost to Jon Jones by fourth round submission.
