Chad Mendes earned his fourth straight victory at UFC 164 with a third round TKO victory over Clay Guida. Since losing to UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo in January of last year, Mendes has rattled off four straight knockout victories over Cody McKenzie, Yaotzin Meza, Darren Elkins, and Guida.

Nick Lentz inched towards title contention with his third straight victory in the UFC, following a unanimous decision win over highly-touted Brazilian featherweight, Hacran Dias at UFC on FX 8. Lentz has quietly gone an impressive 8-2-1 during his time in the UFC, including notable wins over Tyson Griffin, Waylon Lowe, and Diego Nunes.

Following a 3-3 record in the UFC’s bantamweight division, Scott Jorgensen will drop to flyweight for the first time in his career.  After the UFC/WEC merger, Jorgensen started his UFC tenure 2-0, but has struggled since, going just 1-3 in his last four bouts. Most recently, he lost to Urijah Faber by fourth round submission at the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.

It took nearly a year and half, but former #1 flyweight, Ian McCall earned his first victory in the UFC, a unanimous decision win over Iliarde Santos at UFC 164. The win over Santos snapped a two-fight losing streak, decision losses to Demetrious Johnson an Joseph Benavidez.
