Cheick Kongo started slowly, but found his rhythm in the second round to earn a TKO victory over Mark Godbeer in his Bellator debut in this season’s heavyweight tournament semifinals. Kongo and the UFC parted ways following his first round knockout loss to Roy Nelson at UFC 159, back in April of this year.

Vinicius Queiroz surprised everyone with a 23-second knockout win over UFC-veteran and heavy handed, Lavar Johnson at Bellator 102. This is Queiroz’s second attempt in a Bellator tournament, after being eliminated in the semifinals of season seven by current heavyweight champion, Alexander Volkov.
