The Nevada State Athletic Commission has denied grappling ace, Robert Drysdale a license to compete at UFC 167, due to an elevated testosterone result from a out-of-competition drug test. Former Strikeforce veteran, Gian Villante will take his place against Cody Donovan on short notice.

Cody Donovan had a four-fight win streak snapped at UFC Fight Night 26, suffering a vicious first round knockout loss at the hands of Ovince St Preux. Donovan made his UFC debut in December of last year, stopping Nick Penner with a first round knockout of his own.

Gian Villante made his UFC debut at UFC 159, but lost a technical decision to Ovince St. Preux after an incidental eye-poke halted the fight just 33-seconds into the final round. The cageside doctor deemed Villante unfit to continue, so by rule, they went to the scorecards where St. Preux was deemed the winner. The loss snapped a three-fight win streak, which included victories over Keith Berry, Trevor Smith, and Derrick Mehmen.
