Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson was clearly not been happy during his last few years with the UFC, and it showed in his performances in the cage, losing his last three fights with the promotion. In September of 2011, Jackson earned a chance to regain his world title against Jon Jones at UFC 135, but was submitted by the champ in the fourth round. He then had back-to-back uninspiring performances against Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira, losing decisions to both to end his contract with the UFC.

It didn’t take long for Joey Beltran to find a new fighting home following his release from the UFC after his split decision loss to Fabio Maldonado at UFC Fight Night 29. He put together a 3-6 record during his four year run with the UFC, including victories over Rolles Gracie, Tim Hague, and Aaron Rosa. Beltran competed under the Bellator banner in May of 2009, earning a TKO win over Sherman Pendergast in the promotions fifth show.
