The overall number one pick in this season’s Ultimate Fighter, Julianna Pena, lived up to the expectations making it to the show’s live finale with back-to-back second round submission victories over Shayna Baszler and Sarah Moras. Officially, she’s 4-2 in her mixed martial arts career, but has lost two-straight fights since April of last year.

On the complete other side of the spectrum, Jessica Rakoczy was the last fighter picked on the show, yet she rose to the occasion defeating Roxanne Modafferi and Raquel Pennington to earn a spot in this year’s tournament finale. Her official record is just 1-3, but all three losses have come to tough opposition, including Michelle Ould, Felice Herrig, and Zoila Frausto Gurgel.

Women’s MMA pioneer, Roxanne Modafferi has fought on small shows all over the world since 2003, but will get a shot on the big stage in the twilight of her career. Her last victory came in May of 2010, earning a split decision over Tara LaRosa at a Moosin MMA event, but she has since loss five-straight fights to some of women’s mixed martial arts top fighters, including Sarah Kaufman, Rosi Sexton, and Barb Honchak.

Raquel Pennington made it to the semifinals of this year’s women’s tournament on the Ultimate Fighter, upsetting Jessamyn Duke in the opening round, but then lost a decision to Jessica Rakoczy in the semifinals. Officially, she’s 3-3 and currently on a two-fight losing streak against Cat Zingano and Leslie Smith, both fought under the Invicta FC banner.
