Yoel Romero earned his second straight knockout victory in a row, this time against Ronny Markes in the third round at UFC Fight Night 31. In his promotional debut last April, Romero added to his highlight reel with a stunning first round flying knee knockout of Clifford Starks.

Derek Brunson got his first stoppage victory since July 2011 at UFC Fight Night 31, stopping Brian Houston in the first round by submission. He’s now 2-0 in the UFC, with a unanimous decision win over Chris Leben at UFC 155 in his debut.

Ultimate Fighter 15 semi-finalist, Vinc Pichel suffered his first career loss at the TUF 16 Finale, a  first round knockout loss to rising superstar Rustam Khabilov in his UFC debut. He previously was 7-0, with all seven career victories coming by way of knockout.

Garett Whiteley also was unsuccessful in his UFC debut, losing to Alan Patrick in the first round via TKO at UFC Fight Night 29. Whiteley was a perfect 7-0 before his loss to Patrick, with all seven wins coming by way of stoppages (4 KO/TKO, 3 Submissions).
