Carlos Condit ended a two-fight losing skid at UFC Fight Night 27 with a vicious fourth round TKO victory over Martin Kampmann. Previously, Condit had lost back-to-back decisions against UFC welterweight champion Georges St Pierre and current #1 contender, Johny Hendricks. After losing a razor-thin split decision against Kampmann in his debut, Condit rattled off five straight victories to earn a shot at UFC gold in November of last year.
Tyron Woodley got back on the winning track at UFC 167, earning another crushing knockout, this time over Josh Koscheck in the first round. He’s now 2-1 in the UFC, including a knockout win against Jay Hieron and a controversial split decision loss to Jake Shields.
Darrell Montague had the tough task of facing John Dodson in his UFC debut at UFC 166, and lost via first round knockout. The loss snapped a four-fight win streak, dating back to April of last year.
Will Campuzano is still looking for that elusive first UFC victory after a unanimous decision loss to star prospect, Sergio Pettis at UFC 167. Campuzano was released from the UFC in January of 2011, following an 0-2 stint with the promotion. He then went on to win five-straight fights, including winning the Legacy Fighting Championships flyweight title, and earned a spot back in the UFC last November.
