Pat Healy’s UFC career started with a bang when he made his debut in April of last year, submitting Jim Miller and earning $130,000 in bonus money. Shortly after, everything was turned upside down when he tested positive for marijuana and the win was overturned to a no contest. Healy has since lost back-to-back decisions against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Bobby Green.
Jorge Masvidal had a three-fight win streak snapped at UFC Fight Night 31, after dropping a unanimous decision to rising star, Rustam Khabilov. He had previously collected decision victories against Justin Wilcox and Tim Means, as well as a submission win over Michael Chiesa.
Yoel Romero’s hype train was derailed in September of 2011, after a uninspiring effort against Rafael Cavalcante in his Strikeforce debut, but has since regained the accolade after three straight knockout wins in the UFC. Last time out, he earned a violent TKO win over Derek Brunson in the third round at UFC Fight Night 35.
Brad Tavares’ surprising run in the UFC middleweight division continued at UFC Fight Night 35, scoring a unanimous decision win over highly-touted, Lorenz Larkin. He’s now amassed an incredible 7-1 record in the UFC, and likely in title contention with another victory.
