OneFC officials announced today that former WEC and UFC veteran, Brock Larson, will meet Nobutatsu Suzuki to crown the promotion’s first welterweight champion. Other bouts scheduled for the card include a great match-up between bantamweight prospects Kevin Belingon and Dae Hwan Kim, as well as a flyweight bout between Yasuhiro Urushitani and Adriano Moraes.

Brock Larson gets a shot at his first world title on the heels of a current four-fight win streak, including decision wins over Eduardo Pamplona and Melvin Manhoef. Larson fought four times for the UFC in 2009, going 2-2 during that stretch, earning wins over Jesse Sanders and Mike Pyle.

36-year old, Nobutatsu Suzuki holds an impressive 10-1-2 record in his eight-year mixed martial arts career. He suffered his first professional loss in December of 2012, following a submission loss to Keita Nakamura at a Vale Tudo Japan event. Suzuki rebounded last May with a first round TKO victory over Phil Baroni in his OneFC debut.

Bibiano Fernandes won the OneFC interim bantamweight title at OneFC 9, earning a unanimous decision over Koetsu Okazaki. The win was his sixth consecutive victory in the cage, including a stoppage wins over Antonio Banuelos, Gustavo Falciroli, and Yoshiro Maeda. Despite being considered one of the top bantamweights in the world, Fernandes turned down a multiple fight deal with the UFC in August of last year and opted to sign with OneFC.

Soo Chul Kim has been out of action for nearly a year with a shoulder injury, since winning the OneFC bantamweight title with a second round TKO victory over Leandro Issa at OneFC 6. He snapped a three-fight losing streak in June of last year with a TKO win over Shoko Sato, then followed it up with a unanimous decision victory over highly touted Filipino prospect, Kevin Belingon at OneFC 5.
