Jussier da Silva suffered his second loss in three fights during his tenure with the UFC, after a first round knockout loss to Joseph Benavidez at UFC Fight Night 28. The former #1 world ranked flyweight made his UFC debut in October of 2012, losing by knockout to John Dodson, but followed it up with a unanimous decision win over Chris Cariaso in his sophomore appearance.

Former WEC title challenger, Scott Jorgensen, is in desperate need of a win, losing four out of his last five fights in the UFC. Following a 3-3 record as a bantamweight, he dropped to the UFC’s flyweight division, but lost to former Bellator bantamweight champion, Zach Makovsky by unanimous decision.

Thiago Perpetuo was one of the latest victims of the Russian invasion in mixed martial arts, falling to Omari Akhmedov by first round knockout at UFC Fight Night 32. After appearing on the first season of the Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, Perpetuo made his official UFC debut at UFC 147, upsetting Leonardo Mafra Texiera with a third round TKO victory.

Kenny Robertson lost a controversial majority decision to Sean Pierson at 161. He previously earned his first victory in the octagon with a first round submission victory over Brock Jardine last February. Robertson is now 1-3 during his time in the UFC, including losses to Mike Pierce and Aaron Simpson.

One the brightest young stars in women’s MMA, Jessamyn Duke won her UFC debut at the Ultimate Fighter 18 live finale, after defeating fellow cast-mate Peggy Morgan by unanimous decision. Blue chip Brazilian prospect, Goiti Yamauchi makes his first appearance in a Bellator tournament on the strength of an eleven-fight win streak, including two victories with Bellator. Last time out, Yamauchi knocked out Saul Almeida in the first round at Bellator 109.

Will Martinez, earned a spot in this season’s featherweight tournament with a first round submission victory over Kevin Roddy last November. He’s a perfect 4-0 with Bellator, with all four fights won by stoppages (1 KO/TKO, 3 Submissions).

Twelve-year mixed martial arts veteran, Daniel Weichel will make his Bellator debut in the quarterfinals of season nine’s tourney, riding a current three-fight win streak. He’s won seven of his last eight fights, dating back to August of 2010, including wins over Bellator veterans Beau Baker and Magomedrasul Khasbulaev.

Scott Cleve impressed Bellator higher-ups enough with a second round TKO victory over Isaac DeJesus to earn the final spot in this year’s 145-pound tournament. He’s currently on a five-fight win streak, including key wins over Chris Manuel and Ryan Schultz.

UFC veteran, Diego Nunes makes his second appearance in a Bellator tournament, following a quarterfinal exit in season nine after a first round knockout loss to eventual tourney winner, Patricio Freire. He’s lost three out his last four fights, including a unanimous decision loss to Nik Lentz in January of last year to prompt his release from the UFC.

Matt Bessette enters his first tournament on the heels of a current four-fight win streak, including two victories under the Bellator banner. Most recently, he defeated Nick Piedmont via first round knockout at Bellator 98.

Mike Richman fell just short on a bid for a world title, falling to Magomedrasul Khasbulaev by unanimous decision in season eight’s featherweight tournament final last April. He returned to the win column in November with a first round TKO victory over Akop Stepanyan at Bellator 106.

Desmond Green earned his first victory in Bellator last October, stopping Angelo Sanchez in the second round via TKO.He made his debut in season nine’s 145-pound tournament, but was eliminated in the quarterfinal by Fabricio Guerreiro.

UFC veteran, Terry Etim made a successful Bellator debut, earning a unanimous decision win over Patrick Cenoble last November. He was released from the UFC following a 1-3 record in his last four fights with the promotion, including a highlight reel knockout loss to Edson Barboza at UFC 142.

Derek Anderson impressed his Bellator debut, dominating Patricky Freire from start to finish to get the unanimous decision victory. He remains unbeaten in his young mixed martial arts career with a record of 10-0, with nine fights ending in stoppages (3 KO/TKO, 6 Submissions).

Derek Campos earned his fourth straight victory in the cage at Bellator 107 with a unanimous decision win over Martin Stapleton last November. He’s won his last two fights under the Bellator banner after losing his debut in May of 2012 to Rich Clementi.

Brandon Girtz earned his first appearance in a Bellator tournament on the strength of a 3-1 record in his last four fights. He’s won back-to-back first round armbar victories over Poppies Martinez and Mike Estus.

David Rickels fell short on his bid to win the Bellator lightweight title in July of last year, suffering a 44-second knockout loss against then-champion, Michael Chandler. Rickels won the season eight 155-pound tournament with three consecutive victories over Lloyd Woodard, Jason Fischer, and Saad Awad. He returned to action after his loss to Chandler at Bellator 103, earning a third round TKO win over JJ Ambrose in a tune-up fight last October.

Patricky Freire may have saved his spot on Bellator’s roster with a unanimous decision victory over Edson Berto at Bellator 107. He previously had lad lost three-straight fights, including stoppage losses to Lloyd Woodard and Eddie Alvarez, along with a decision loss to Derek Anderson.

Marcin Held enters a tournament for the third time in his Bellator career, losing once in the quarterfinals and once in the finale in previous attempts. He’s won six of his last seven fights, with his only defeat being the unanimous decision loss to Dave Jansen in the season seven tournament finale. Held last competed in September of last year, knocking out Ryan Healy in the first round at Bellator 101.

30-year old Brazilian lightweight, Rodrigo Cavalheiro Correia makes his United States debut on the heels of a current 10-fight win streak, nine of which he’s won by stoppages. His most notable victory came in July of last year when he knocked out fellow prospect, Alexandre Ramos, in the first round at Smash Fight 2.

Keoni Koch, who is the older brother of current UFC standout Erik Koch, drops to the featherweight division for the first time for a chance at his first world title. Koch is undefeated in five fights, but hasn’t been steadily active in the sport since his professional debut in January of 2007. Last time out, he earned a unanimous decision over Anatol Grama at a Iowa Challenge event last April. 

Featherweight prospect, Brian Ortega picked up his first notable victory in his last fight, submitting Jordan Rinaldi in the third round at Resurrection Fighting Alliance 9. He remains a perfect 7-0 in his career, with four of those victories coming by submission stoppages. 

In the co-main event, UFC veterans Kevin Casey (6-3) and Eddie Mendez (7-2-1) meet in a middleweight battle. Also, undefeated welterweight prospect Jonathan Rivera (4-0) takes on James Moontasri (5-1).
