The 27th edition of Xtreme Fighting Championships will be headlined by a featherweight bout, featuring UFC-veteran Junior Assuncao and American Kickboxing Academy fighter, Daniel Swain. The co-main event features a featherweight title bout between Farkhad Sharipov (14-5) versus Deivison Rebeiro (24-9).
Junior Assuncao has won eight of his last nine fights dating back to November of 2008, including a 1-1 stint in the UFC. He made his UFC debut in September of 2011, earning a unanimous decision over Eddie Yagin, but was surprisingly released from his contract following a decision loss to Ross Pearson in his next bout at UFC 141.
Daniel Swain has fought all over the world, including Japan, Canada, and Columbia, but will now headline a nationally televised card after a 10-2 start to his mixed martial arts career. He’s currently on a four-fight win streak, most recently stopping Tomonari Kanomata via second round TKO at Pancrase 248 in Japan.
