Despite losing his last four fights inside the UFC, Leonard Garcia’s “kill or be killed” style of fighting has earned him another chance to earn his first victory since December of 2010. Garcia has made a career of winning split decisions that he didn’t deserve to win, but it was the other way around at UFC 155, when up-and-comer Max Holloway got the nod in a fight many believe Garcia deserved to win.

Cody McKenzie dropped to the featherweight after a 2-2 stint in the UFC 155-pound division. In his 145-pound debut, he met on the division’s elite fighters in Chad Mendes and was knocked out by a body punch just 31 seconds into the first round. Twelve of McKenzie’s thirteen career victories have come by way of his modified guillotine choke.

Leonard Garcia is in desperate need of a victory, losing three consecutive fights inside the UFC. Garcia’s last win was a controversial split decision victory against Nam Phan in December of 2010. He has since lost consecutive fights to Chan Sung Jung, Nam Phan, and most recently a unanimous decision defeat to Matt Grice at UFC on FX 3.

Max Holloway won his second consecutive fight in the UFC after a second round TKO victory over fellow prospect, Justin Lawrence at UFC 150. Holloway made his UFC debut in February of this year, but came up short after being submitted by Dustin Poirier with a impressive triangle/armbar combo. He followed that loss with a unanimous decision win over Pat Schilling at The Ultimate Fighter 15 finale.
