Joseph Benavidez failed to capture UFC gold for the third time in his career, losing a split decision to Demetrious Johnson at UFC 152, which crowned Johnson as the first ever UFC flyweight champion. The loss snapped a four-fight win streak, which included decision victories over Ian Loveland and Eddie Wineland, and also a second round TKO victory over Yasuhiro Urushitani.

Once ranked the #1 flyweight in the world, Ian McCall still looks for his first win inside the UFC. He debuted against Demetrious Johnson in a fight that was later declared a majority draw after the scorecards were misread inside the cage. In the rematch, Johnson left no doubt in the judges eyes’, earning a clear-cut unanimous decision over McCall at UFC on FX 3.
