Ildemar Alcantar looks to rebound from an uninspiring effort at UFC Fight Nigh 29, losing a unanimous decision to Igor Araujo. The loss snapped a nine-fight win streak, dating back to July of 2011, which included UFC victories over Wagner Prado and Leandro ‘Buscape’ Silva.

The UFC’s expansion into Russia’s mixed martial arts prospects, continues with Albert Tumenov, who’s currently on an eight-fight win streak, most recently defeating Yasubey Enomoto via knockout at a Fight Nights event last October. Out of twelve professional victories, eight have come by knockout.

Ildemar Alcantara improved his record to 2-0 inside the octagon at UFC on Fuel TV 10, earning a unanimous decision over Leandro Silva at 155-pounds, his normal weight class. Alcantara took a short notice fight against Wagner Prado as a light heavyweight in his UFC debut and submitted him in the second round.

Ultimate Fighter 16 alumni, Igor Araujo gets a shot in the UFC on the heels of a current four-fight win streak. Like many of his castmates, he wasn’t given a fight on the show’s finally, but earned a spot on the roster with a decision victory over another TUF veteran, Nic Herron-Webb at Flawless FC 3.

Allan Patrick brings a perfect 10-0 record with him to the UFC, with half of his career victories coming by way of stoppages (3 KO/TKO, 2 Sub). Most recently, Patrick earned a unanimous decision over Claudiere Freitas at Bitetti Combat 15 last May.

Despite not competing in the cage for nearly a year, Garett Whitely signs with the UFC, carrying a undefeated 5-0 record. He last competed in November of last year, submitting Evan DeLong in the second round at an Absolute Cage Fighting event. All five career victories have come by stoppages (2 KO/TKO, 3 Sub).

Erick Silva looks to rebound from a closely-contested unanimous decision loss to Jon Fitch at UFC 153 in Brazil. Silva has now gone 2-2 in the UFC, but one of his losses, he was disqualified against Carlo Prater for shots to the back of the head in a fight where he was clearly on the way to a stoppage victory. His last victory was a first round submission win over Charlie Brenneman at UFC on FX 3.

Strikeforce transfer, Jason High returns to the UFC on a current seven-fight win streak dating back to August of 2010. High was released from his UFC contract after just one fight, losing by unanimous decision to Charlie Brenneman at UFC Fight Night 21. Notable wins during his win streak include Jordan Mein, Hayato ‘Mach’ Sakurai, and Quinn Mulhern.

Ildemar Alcantara filled in as a late injury replacement at UFC on FX 7, defeating Wagner Prado by second round kneebar. He now will drop two weight classes to the welterweight division for his second appearance in the octagon. Alcantara has won eight fights in a row, including seven of eight coming by way of stoppages.

Leandro ‘Buscape’ Silva makes his UFC debut on the heels of a current five-fight win streak, including most recently a split decision victory over UFC veteran, Chris Wilson at a Predator FC event last March. Seven out of his eleven professional victories have come by way of submission.
