Alan Patrick made a good first impression, earning a TKO finish in the first round over Garett Whiteley at UFC Fight Night 29. He’s a perfect 11-0 to begin his mixed martial arts career, with six of those victories coming by way of stoppages.

John Makdessi seems to be finding his rhythm in the UFC, winning back-t0-back unanimous decisions against Sam Stout and Daron Cruickshank. Makdessi made his debut in April of 2011, earning a stunning third round spinning backfist knockout win over Kyle Watson at UFC 129. He then lost consecutive fights to Dennis Hallman and Anthony Njokuani before his most recent victories.

Renee Forte likely saved his spot on the UFC roster with a unanimous decision win over Terry Etim at UFC on Fuel TV 7 in his second appearance with the promotion. In his UFC debut, Forte was submitted in the third round by TUF: Brazil 1 runner-up, Sergio Moraes.

Edson Barboza rebounded nicely following the first loss of his career, with a first round submission victory over UFC newcomer, Lucas Martins at UFC on FX 7. He previously was upset in Jamie Varner’s return to the UFC, suffering a stunning first round TKO loss in May of last year.

Rafaello Oliveira likely saved his job in the UFC with a fairly one-sided unanimous decision victory over Yoislandy Izquierdo at UFC 148. The win snapped a two-fight losing streak, which consisted of a submission loss to Gleison Tibau and a TKO loss to Yves Edwards.
