Karlos Vemola began his UFC career as a heavyweight, but after two years and five fights later, he makes his second appearance as a middleweight. Last time out, Vemola was submitted by George St Pierre’s protege, Francis Carmont by rear naked choke at UFC on Fuel TV 4.

Caio Magalhaes is likely fighting for his job in the UFC, after a dismal performance in his unanimous decision loss to Buddy Roberts at UFC on FX 3. The loss was his first professionally, snapping a five-fight win streak he put together in the Brazilian regional MMA circuit.

Chris Leben returns from a year-long suspension for testing positive for prescription painkillers, following his second round TKO loss to Mark Munoz back in November of last year at UFC 138. It was Leben’s second time testing positive for a banned substance during his tenure in the UFC. His last victory came at UFC 132, knocking out Wanderlei Silva in just 27 seconds in to the first round.

Derek Brunson makes his UFC debut on the heels of a two-fight losing streak. Most recently, he suffered a 41-second knockout loss to the hands of Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza at Strikeforce: Rousey vs Kaufman. Previous to that, Brunson lost a controversial spit decision to UFC veteran Kendall Grove last June at a SportFight event. Brunson began his Strikeforce career with three consecutive victories, earning wins over Jeremy Hamilton, Lumumba Sayers, and Nate James.
