Felipe Arantes could never really get the offense going against the lanky featherweight, Edmilson Souza, at UFC Fight Night 28, losing a split decision to his fellow Brazilian. He’s now 2-1-1 in his last four fights, including wins over Antonio Carvalho and Godofredo Castro, and a draw against Milton Vieira.

Maximo Blanco found a way to shoot himself in the foot once again, this time getting disqualified for blatant knees to the head of grounded opponent against Akira Corassani at the Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale. The loss was his third in four fights, also including losses against Pat Healy and Marcus Brimage. Blanco’s only win during his time in the UFC was a unanimous decision win over Sam Sicilia at the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.

Sam Sicilia saw a seven-fight win streak come to an end in his sophomore appearance in the UFC, losing to Rony Bezerra in the second round via TKO at UFC 153. Sicilia earned a knockout win of his own in his UFC debut, stopping Cristiano Marcello in the second round.

Hard-hitting, Maximo Blanco likely fights for his UFC career, losing back-to-back fights since signing with Zuffa back in September of 2011. Blanco had a six-fight win streak snapped in his Strikeforce debut after Pat Healy submitted him with a rear naked choke in the second round. He then dropped to featherweight and transferred to the UFC, but lost a split decision to Marcus Brimage at UFC 145.
