Rani Yahya returns to the bantamweight division after falling short in a hard-fought split decision defeat to Tom Niinimaki at the Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale. He had previously been on a three-fight win streak, which included a submission victory over Josh Grispi and decision wins over Mizuto Hirota and Josh Clopton.

Johnny Bedford suffered his first lost in the UFC at UFC 159 after being submitted by Bryan Caraway in the third round. He began his tenure in the UFC with back-to-back knockout victories over Louis Gaudinot and Marcos Vinicius. Injuries have kept Bedford out of action for the past year.

Former Sengoku lightweight champion, Mizuto Hirota had a two-fight win streak snapped after losing a highly controversial unanimous decision to Pat Healy at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs Kennedy. Previous to the Healy loss, Hirota had won back-to-back decisions against Katsunori Kikuno and Seichi Ikemoto in DEEP events.

Jiu-Jitsu ace, Rani Yahya added another submission victory to his resume with a first round north-south choke win over Josh Grispi at UFC on Fox 4. It was his second victory inside the UFC since the WEC merger, also defeating former champion Mike Thomas Brown in his debut. His only loss in the UFC is a unanimous decision loss to Chad Mendes at UFC 133.

Marcelo Guimaraes was successful in his UFC debut, with a closely-contested split decision win over Dan Stittgen at UFC on Fuel 4. It was his seventh consecutive victory, including a win over Brazilian prospect Ildemar Alcantara in May of 2011.

Current PXC welterweight champion, Hyun Gyu Lim is currently on a five-fight win streak, including TKO victories over Ross Ebanez and Ferrid Kheder. Out of his ten professional victories, nine have come by way of stoppages (7 TKO, 2 Submission).
