Strikeforce transfer, Estevan Payan made his promotional debut at UFC 160, but was dominated from start to finish despite showing great heart in en route to a unanimous decision defeat. The loss snapped a seven-fight win streak, which included Strikeforce victories over Alonzo Martinez and Mike Bravo.

Featherweight prospect, Robbie Peralta had a nine-fight win streak ended at UFC of Fuel TV 9, after a uninspiring effort against Akira Corassani and eventually lost a unanimous decision. Peralta started his UFC career 2-0 with wins over Mike Lullo and Jason Young.

The Ultimate Fighter 14 alumni, Akira Corassani was successful in his UFC debut with a razor-thin split decision victory over Andy Ogle at UFC on Fuel TV 5. Before his semifinal run on the show, he had won six out of his last seven fights, including decision wins over Ivan Buchinger and Graham Turner.

Rising star, Robbie Peralta extended his impressive win streak to nine with a 23-second knockout victory over Jason Young at UFC on Fuel TV 5. The streak dates back to November of 2009 and includes a notable victory over former DREAM featherweight champion Hiroyuki Takaya.
