Zubair Tuhugov is the latest member to join the Russian invasion in to mixed martial arts in the United States on the heels of a six-fight win streak. Only six of his fifteen professional wins have come by stoppages, but most recently stopped Vaso Bakocevic at Fight Nights: Battle of Moscow 13 with a vicious spinning back to the liver, earning the TKO victory.

Douglas Silva de Andrade makes his UFC debut with a perfect 22-0 record in mixed martial arts, which started in May of 2007. Nineteen of those victories have come by stoppages (18 KO/TKO, 1 Submission). Most recently, he earned a 25-second knockout victory over Tiago Passos at Jungle Fight 63 last December.

Widely considered one of the top welterweight prospects in the UFC, Erick Silva is still searching for that key victory that places him among the elite, following a second round knockout loss to Dong Hyun Kim at UFC Fight Night 29. He’s traded wins and losses since his debut in August of 2011, including spectacular showings in victory against Luis Ramos, Charlie Brenneman, and Jason High. Losses include a disqualification against Carlo Prater in a fight he was clearly on the way to winning, and a hard-fought decision loss to Jon Fitch.

Current welterweight King of Pancrase, Takenori Sato, makes his UFC debut on the strength of going undefeated since October of 2010, holding a record of 8-0-2 during that span. His most notable victory came in March of 2012 when he earned a unanimous decision over current UFC roster member, Kiichi Kunimoto at Pancrase: Progress Tour 3.

Felipe Arantes could never really get the offense going against the lanky featherweight, Edmilson Souza, at UFC Fight Night 28, losing a split decision to his fellow Brazilian. He’s now 2-1-1 in his last four fights, including wins over Antonio Carvalho and Godofredo Castro, and a draw against Milton Vieira.

Maximo Blanco found a way to shoot himself in the foot once again, this time getting disqualified for blatant knees to the head of grounded opponent against Akira Corassani at the Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale. The loss was his third in four fights, also including losses against Pat Healy and Marcus Brimage. Blanco’s only win during his time in the UFC was a unanimous decision win over Sam Sicilia at the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale.

Iuri Alcantara fell short on his bid to add his name among the elite in the UFC’s bantamweight division after losing a unanimous decision to Urijah Faber at UFC Fight Night 36. He’s now officially lost two of his last three fights, but also has a no contest against Pedro Nobre, a fight he was clearly winning until Nobre couldn’t continue from (phantom) illegal blows.

Wilson Reis looked impressive in his UFC debut, earning a clear-cut unanimous decision over gritty veteran, Ivan Menjivar at UFC 165. He’s now won five straight fights, including submission wins over Bruno Menezes, Billy Vaughn, and Owen Roddy.

Ildemar Alcantar looks to rebound from an uninspiring effort at UFC Fight Nigh 29, losing a unanimous decision to Igor Araujo. The loss snapped a nine-fight win streak, dating back to July of 2011, which included UFC victories over Wagner Prado and Leandro ‘Buscape’ Silva.

The UFC’s expansion into Russia’s mixed martial arts prospects, continues with Albert Tumenov, who’s currently on an eight-fight win streak, most recently defeating Yasubey Enomoto via knockout at a Fight Nights event last October. Out of twelve professional victories, eight have come by knockout.

Nate Loughran returns to the UFC for the first time since his release in December of 2008, following a 1-1 stint with the promotion. He took a three year break from the sport, but returned in March of last year and earned a split decision victory over long-time MMA vet, Jamie Jara. After another lengthy absence, Loughran defeated Kito Andrews at Tachi Palace Fights 17 by unanimous decision to win their welterweight world title.

Rodrigo Damm got his second UFC victory at UFC on Fuel TV 10 with a closely-contested split decision victory over Mizuto Hirota. He’s now 2-1 in the UFC, including a submission win over Anistavio Gasparzinho  and  decision loss to Antonio Carvalho.

Ivan Jorge took a short notice fight in the welterweight division at UFC Fight Night 28 to get his shot in the UFC, and defeated Keith Wisniewski by unanimous decision. He’s now won seven straight victories in his career, with his previous six wins all coming by submission stoppages.
