Uriah Hall fell just short on his quest to become the 17th victor of the Ultimate Fighter, when he lost a split decision to Kelvin Gastelum in the show’s finale. The loss snapped a three-fight winning streak, which included a decision victory over fellow prospect Nodar Kuduxashvilli at Ring of Combat 41.

John Howard returns to the UFC for the first time since his release from the promotion in June of 2011. Over the past couple years, he’s amassed a 6-1 record on the regional circuit, including a first round knockout victory over Chris Woodall last month at a CES event. Howard went 4-3 in his last stint in the UFC, beginning 4-0, but lost three consecutive fights prompting his release.
